This a potent superfood blend filled with delicious and nutrient dense ingredients, perfect for a moment of Winter mindfulness and rejuvenation.

Notes about Cacao – know best for making delicious chocolate, cacao is a powerhouse of healing nutrition. Used in this purer form we can really get the full benefits of it, including but not limited to –

High magnesium content – hormone regulation, helps turn glucose into energy,

Flavonoids – improving blood flow, increased insulin sensitivity, reduced inflammation

Potassium – lowers inflammation, lowers cell stress

Antioxidants – absorbs free radicals that cause cell and tissue damage that lead to cancers

Calcium – bone health

Serotonin, tryptophan, tyrosine, phenylethylamine – happy chemicals!! Natural antidepressants

WARNING: cacao contains caffeine, so this is not a bedtime drink, it’s a comforting pick me up!

Notes about Macca – I always say this stuff tastes like cake batter, it smells and tastes so ridiculously yummy, I can’t get enough of it! It’s also helps that it has an awesome nutrient profile too! There has been very little research into maca as a medicinal ingredient, but the evidence that does exist suggests maca helps to balance hormones, helping with libido, mood stability and menopause symptoms.

1 tbsp cocoa powder

1tsp Macca powder

1tsp peanut butter (powdered pb for lower fat)

1/4 cup Almond milk

1tbsp maple syrup or agave syrup

3/4cup water

In a small saucepan whisk all the ingredients together over a low heat.

Continually whisking slowly heat up the drink until it’s your perfect temperature (don’t let it come to the boil, this can make it bitter)
